Another busy week...

Monday, we worked outside all day...Finally!  Cleaned up the Spring/Woods flower garden, mowed the lawn, tilled the vegetable garden and cut asparagus.  We also got my water feature running:

Pump water feature...still needing some work.

We also got the twins onto a bucket feeder instead of separate bottles, life is easier now!

Tuesday-  Did more flower garden weeding, planted some flower boxes, straightened the front porch, and filled the bird feeders.  Farrier was here and trimmed horses feet.  I made two Rhubarb Custard Pies for the Gathering here tomorrow.  I also made some Ebelskivers with my new pan and cookbook that came in the mail today.  Ebelskivers are Danish puff pancakes, so much fun!  Had them first at Loretta's last week.  We cut more asparagus.

Wednesday-  I am hosting the knitting group today, so had preparations to do in the morning.  Made Cream of Asparagus soup...YUMMY!  Greg ran my Meals on Wheels router and then he did some running around in town.  I had six ladies and part of our day was going on a "field trip" to the barn and gardens.  The ladies got to feed the little ones with bottles.  They always like seeing the kids.

The day itself was VERY WINDY.

Around 6:00 PM, Jenn and Pat came by for a visit.

Spent the evening after chores, tearing out knitting on my "horse sweater" once again!  Now have it back on track after Anya got her teeth into it.

Thursday-  Made Evelskivers for breakfast. Crunchy Cinnamon ones with bacon on the side.  The afternoon was spent spraying weed killer along the fence lines and around buildings and gardens.  We got the baler out of the shed and made it ready for the haying season.  Weeded some of the vegetable garden and Greg started moving the poop pile to the compost pile.  Cut more asparagus.

Friday- Started to weed the flower gardens, managed to get the picket fence garden done.  I got five loads of laundry done and on the line, Greg moved more poop and I gave Angus his last bottle of milk (he is now a big boy goat and only gets hay and grain).  Around 2:00 PM, Jeremiah called to see if we were up for a visit from him and his...see you around 4:00 PM.

Fun on the Farm with Marion, Amaru, Renee, Grandma Chicken and the goats.

Amaru in the coop with the chickens.

Henry driving "Cubby", with Daddy controlling the foot pedals!

Amaru learning to use the spinning wheel.

Henry wants to know what the phonograph is... Daddy said it is kind of like an MP3 player!

We had an all around good time, tractor driving, chasing chickens, learning to spin, and all around dirt playing.

Our "farmer" got our field worked up and ready to plant and so did the farmer across the road.  Lots of field work was done all around  here.

Saturday-I got all the container plants watered, another load of laundry done and Greg repaired my small clippers.  The afternoon was spent in Davision celebrating Miles' graduation from vocational training school.  Good food and good visit.

After evening chores we spent our time porch sitting.

Another week and life is good.  Onward and Upward!
